Making a go in business after COVID-19

A local mum was due to return to her employment in May following maternity leave; how ever has been made redundant due to the effect COVID19 has had on the business.

Photography had been a hobby and small part time business for over 10 years. Although ceased trading when pregnant with her first child Eva-Ray who is nearly 3.

Last year the family demolished the studio a converted garage; to allow them to extend the family home in Belle Vue, Carlisle make way for their youngest child Toby who has recently turned one.

The new purpose built studio was ready to open in March when COVID19 hit;

Having spent the time productively developing the website with the help of a close friend via email and Facetime.

Delivering flyers in the local area with the help of her step daughter and working on the marketing of the business, taking advice and knowledge from others in business locally.

“Now having been made redundant I am hoping to come back more successful than ever and make Studio 5 my full time profession despite a successful career in advertising sales and marketing.

“I offer timeless portraiture in a purpose built home based studio; From maternity, newborn, children, pets and family portraits.”

The Studio is more than big enough to keep a safe distance and comply with Covid guidelines.

Time is allowed prior to appointments for me to clean and sanitise the studio.

I also offer socially distanced lifestyle photography out and about for people who prefer the outdoors.
