Pedestrian hurt in Penrith collision

A woman has been taken to hospital after a road traffic collision on Devonshire Street in Penrith.

Police were called at 2:45pm today.

A Ford Focus car collided with a female pedestrian, a 63-year-old woman from Kent.

The woman was conveyed by ambulance to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle.

Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
