Three fire engines from Whitehaven and Frizington have attended a fire involving a bedroom of a semi-detached domestic property on Ehen Road, Cleator Moor.
Fire crews were called at 7:52am on Thursday 16 July.
A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “One casualty was rescued from the property by fire service personnel suffering from burns and smoke inhalation and handed over to ambulance crews.
“Firefighters used two hose reels, four breathing apparatus, a triple extension ladder and a positive pressure ventilation unit to bring the fire under control.
“Crews were on scene for 2 hours.”
