Bay Business Angels to host virtual pitching event to help businesses secure investment

Bay Business Angels are looking for around 10 businesses from the Bay area to participate in a virtual ‘Mini-Pitch’ selection event on Wednesday 30 September.

Businesses are invited to pitch their innovative ideas in front of a panel which will include experienced investors and members of Bay Business Angels partners at a ‘Mini-Pitch’ selection event. The most impressive businesses will be invited to pitch to multiple angel investors at a Bay Business Angels event in November – when they will have the opportunity (along with other businesses form the wider North West) to attract Angel investment.

At this selection event, businesses will receive constructive feedback on their proposals and learn about the “dos and don’ts” of angel investment, including how to pitch and most importantly help get them ready for such an event.

It is likely that relatively young and growing businesses will find the event most useful (whether they end up pitching for real or not) but any business or entrepreneur can apply and the Partners would love to hear from any interested parties.

Bay Business Angels is the only business angel’s investment network based in the North Lancashire and Cumbria area.

The group has so far exceeded the £1M mark for raising investment for businesses in the South Cumbria and North Lancaster region.

The group is backed by some of the leading businesses in Cumbria and Lancashire including Lancaster University and its highly reputable Management School, Commercial Law firm Baines Wilson, Accountancy firms MHA Moore and Smalley and Baldwins, Banks NatWest and Barclays and funding specialists, Manchester based Access to Finance.

To register your interest in this event, please contact Ben Haydock at GC Business Angels – [email protected]
