Police are investigating the theft of two bicycles, which were stolen from the roof of a car in Whinlatter Forest car park near Keswick.
The bicycles were attached to cycle carriers, which were on the roof of the car. The bicycles were stolen whilst the owners were walking in the forest park near to the visitor’s centre.
The theft occurred between 12pm and 2pm on Saturday 12th September.
A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “The cycle carriers were of the locking type, and were locked, but the offender has managed to detach the bicycles from them.
“The bicycles were Giant Propel and Giant Avail road bikes, total value £4,600.”
