Tom Lamb, Head of Bids; Kirsten Cox, Head of Customer Care; Jonathan Horner, Refurbishment Director; Lee Francis, Regional Managing Director; Tim Wood, Head of Sustainability; Paul Errington, Partnerships Director and Louise Buckton, New Build Director.

Leading energy and regeneration specialist, ENGIE, has responded to increasing construction and sustainability demands across the North East and Cumbria; by introducing four new senior roles, to build on their expertise and the company’s continued growth in the area.

Louise Buckton Joins ENGIE as New Build Director for the area, after six years at Esh Construction.

Furthermore, Jonathan Horner and Paul Errington have both received internal promotions at ENGIE, respectively taking on new roles as Refurbishment Director and Partnerships Director, for the North East and Cumbria, creating a new regional team for the area.

As a leading provider of regeneration services in the UK – covering everything from community regeneration and refurbishment to repairs; maintenance and major new builds and developments, these roles will build on the region’s already established construction success across housing, education, retail and commercial.

Furthermore, to help address the climate change locally and embed ENGIE’s zero carbon approach, the team has also been strengthened with the addition of Tim Wood, Head of Sustainability, who has a wealth of experience from his time at Home Group, Gentoo and Kier.

Through a unique combination of capabilities in energy, services and regeneration, ENGIE is well placed as the partner of choice to help businesses and local authorities in the transition to a zero-carbon future, with Tim on hand to support all sustainability ambitions across the North East and Cumbria.

Commenting on the new appointments to his senior leadership team, Lee Francis, Regional Managing Director for ENGIE’s North East and Cumbria footprint, said: “Despite the uncertainties that COVID-19 has brought to our industry and local communities, we are certain we can continue to support local authorities, housing associations and private businesses, to improve the environments we live and work in, by designing, renovating and building, energy efficient properties and structures that will stand the test of time.

“I’m delighted to welcome Louise and Tim to the business, whilst also appointing Jonathan and Paul to their well-deserved new roles. With their vast knowledge and experiences, coupled with a very talented and motivated workforce, we hope to continue to deliver innovative and pioneering solutions for our customers and partners, whilst also supporting them with their zero carbon ambitions.”

The senior team is also complemented by Tom Lamb, Head of Bids and Kirsten Cox, Head of Customer Care, who have a wealth of experience across their specialties and have both been with ENGIE for a number of years.

Recent and current examples of ENGIE’s construction capabilities across the North East and Cumbria includes; the award-winning Gateshead Innovation Village and Newcastle Energy Centre, Sunderland’s ground-breaking Core 364 project, a £20m housing scheme in Hebburn and the £15.2m Extra Care scheme in Oxenholme, Cumbria.
