New data reveals Saturday is the night most locals prefer to stay home with a Deliveroo

Deliveroo, the on-demand food delivery service, is celebrating its first birthday in Carlisle.

New data from Deliveroo reveals Saturday at 7:55pm is the most popular time for Carlisle locals to order Deliveroo. Further data has shown locals love British food the most, followed by American and Italian.

Most popular dishes:

  • Cod and Chips from Paolo’s Fish and Chip Shop
  • Smoked Cheese Burger from QUARTER LOUNGE
  • Dough Balls ‘PizzaExpress’ from  PizzaExpress
  • Sausage from Fontanas
  • Chicken Pad Thai from Ruen Thai Restaurant

Since its launch in the town a year ago, more than 30 restaurants have signed up to the platform. Deliveroo has created work for more than 50 people, with the majority of these being the Deliveroo riders who deliver your food which is cooked fresh to order and delivered to your door within 30 minutes.

Deliveroo supports local businesses in Carlisle, with 60% percent of its restaurant partners being local independent restaurants, creating new revenue streams for homegrown culinary talent.

Harison Foster, Regional Director for the UK said: “Our whole team here at Deliveroo are delighted that our rapid growth in Carlisle over the past year means that customers have more choice, restaurants are able to increase their revenue, and riders have the opportunity to choose well-paid, flexible work.”

Deliveroo is focused on providing the ultimate food delivery experience. Customers have the option to schedule orders via the Deliveroo app up to one day in advance or receive food as soon as possible between noon and 11pm, and from noon on the weekends, from a variety of leading local, independent and best-loved chain restaurants, conveniently delivered to their homes and offices.
