Teenagers arrested after Penrith theft

Police are appealing for witnesses following an incident of theft that occurred at an address on Carleton Road, Penrith, at around 3:50am on 30th November.

A ride-on lawnmower was taken during the incident. It was then seen on Carleton Road and Pategill.

Officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or anyone with dash cam footage.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “A 15-year-old from Penrith was arrested on suspicion of theft and burglary with intent to steal. He has been released under investigation.

“A 16-year-old from Penrith was also arrested on suspicion of theft and burglary with intent to steal. He has been released under investigation.”
