A Carlisle logistics firm has expanded and created six new jobs.
Beaches Logistics has recently moved to a new larger unit on Kingmoor Park to allow the company to add four more drivers, a warehouse operative and an accounts manager to the team, and is better placed for their customers and boasts an enhanced layout with dock level loading bays.
Beaches Logistics operates across the UK and specialises in pallet collection and storage, heavy haulage and general haulage.
From its new Carlisle depot, they are strategically located just off J44 of the M6 motorway which is ideal for distribution channels between England and Scotland.
Bryan Jones, Beaches Logistics group commercial directorm said: “We’re delighted to have moved to the new site.
“It’s a better building for our storage facility and will allow us to continue to grow in response to customer demand.
“The staff are happy with the improved office and kitchen facilities, and the floor plan with plenty of open space is exactly what I was looking for to help us achieve our expansion plans over the coming years.”
Beaches joins the growing list of companies that have been able to utilise the Enterprise Zone benefits and financial incentives.
Neil McIntyre, Kingmoor Park Properties managing director said; “We have worked with Beaches Logistics for a few years now so are very pleased that they have decided to choose Carlisle as a permanent location.
“They were able to benefit from Business Rates Relief which further supported their decision to establish here. The unit suits their needs perfectly and provides plenty of space for their continued growth in Carlisle.”
