A 22-year-old man died after a motorbike and a HGV collided near Grayrigg yesterday.
Police were called at around 3pm to the report of the two-vehicle road traffic collision on the A685 North of Grayrigg.
The collision involved a white Honda motorcycle and a white HGV.
As a result of the collision, the rider of the motorcycle, a 22-year-old-man from Kendal, died at the scene.
His family have been informed.
The driver of the HGV was uninjured.
The road was closed for six hours while a forensic collision investigation and recovery was carried out.
