Your photos: Lockdown 20-pace challenge

Star trails by Craig Dalton

We asked you to help us spread a little cheer as we enter the third national lockdown.

Steve Beinder, of Stair in the Newlands Valley, responded with this brilliant idea he came up with during the first lockdown.

He set himself the challenge of allowing himself to travel just 20 paces from his front door to find photo opportunities and subjects.

Inspired by Steve, we asked if you would take part in a 20-pace photo challenge.

Craig Dalton took advantage of the clear skies in Portinscale last night to get photos of his home with star trails in the background.

He says he is also keeping busy during lockdown by completing some DIY that he hadn’t quite got round to and is enjoying his daily walk with his dog.

We would also love it if you would share with us and our readers the things that have brought you a little bit of joy during these lockdown days – be it a photograph of a bird in your garden, that loaf of sourdough bread that turned out perfectly (or not so perfectly), what your home office looks like or something you’ve spotted while out on your daily allotted exercise.

Pam Geisselmann sent us a shot of Ullswater and Sam Sykes sent us a selection of shots of the wildlife spotted while out and about.

It could even be a screengrab of a meeting of your group or organisation – let’s celebrate what good things we can do during lockdown.

Tell us why you love the photo, what it means to you and how you’re coping during lockdown.

We’ll also need your name and address.

We will publish a selection across our platforms.
