Barrow’s MP has donated a bundle of new books for youngsters to Rotary Furness Peninsula to share the joy of reading.
Simon Fell has partnered with the Publishers Association to donate the books.
Mr Fell said: “I was delighted to receive these books from the Publishers Association which are designed for young adults and teenagers.
“Rotary organises remarkable events globally and across Furness, and I hope that these books will help them in their community fundraising efforts.”
Rotary Furness Peninsula president, Nicola Stuart-Wood, accepted the books on behalf of Rotary.
Nicola said: “These books will benefit the locality with our fundraising and community events including our Gift Tree campaign when we are able.
“We are planning a number of exciting projects for the future often joining forces with the other two Rotary Clubs in Barrow.”
The books donated include new titles such as Break the Mould by Sinéad Burke, Love Frankie by Jaqueline Wilson and La Belle Sauvage by Philip Pullman.
