Police are appealing for witnesses after a car was seen driving while displaying blue lights.
The incident is reported to have occurred at around 4.10pm on January 15, on the A590 between Lindal in Furness and Ulverston.
The car, a black BMW, was driving towards Ulverston and had blue lights along the front grill that were being used.
Other road users were seen giving priority to this vehicle.
Officers are appealing for anyone with information on the incident, or anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage, to get in touch.
