Police are appealing for information following the report of an attempted robbery near Wigton in the early hours of Saturday which saw a man injured.
The incident occurred at a property in Oulton at around 3.40am.
It is reported that the suspect entered the property through an unsecured door.
The occupant of the house disturbed the suspect and an altercation followed.
A man in his 50s received minor injuries that didn’t require medical attention..
