A lane on the A66, closed due to two overturned lorries, has reopened.

The lane was shut between Stainmore and Bowes after one lorry has overturned three miles east of Bowes and the other near Stainmore Cafe.

The overturned HGV will be recovered when the wind eases and the stretch of carriageway is still  closed to high-sided vehicles.

Strong winds are affecting drivers in the area.
