To celebrate International Women’s Day next Monday, Cumbria Chamber of Commerce is hosting a live panel event with five local leading businesswomen.
The free event will bring together women from the county with different professional backgrounds to discuss advice, both good and bad, that they have received throughout their careers.
The panellists are Suzanne Caldwell, managing director of Cumbria Chamber of Commerce; Joanne Holborn, partner and head of employment law and training at Baines Wilson LLP; Daniella Hope, director at Lake District Hotels Ltd; Jayne Moorby, marketing manager at Oxley Group and Emma Porter, construction managing director at Story Contracting Ltd.
Suzanne said: “It’s great that we have International Women’s Day to remind us to pause and celebrate what women are doing in all walks of life – in this case women in business around Cumbria.
“I’m really looking forward to this event and to hearing the advice myself! It will be fascinating to hear what everyone has to say.”
Joanne said: “It is great to be involved in this event to celebrate Cumbrian women in business. I’m really looking forward sharing experiences with other business owners and finding out the best advice they have received.”
The event has been celebrated for 110 years and is a day to recognise the economic, social, and political achievements of women across the globe.
