Oxygen was given to a 17-year-old driver after he crashed in Carlisle city centre.
Emergency services were called to Castle Way at 7.25pm on Tuesday.
A 17-year-old man from Brampton, who was driving a Seat Eteca, was given oxygen and casualty care at the scene before he was taken to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle with minor injuries.
Engines from Carlisle East and Carlisle West attended the crash and stabilised the teenager before, with the help of paramedics, removing the roof of the car to rescue the driver.
He was taken by ambulance to Cumberland Infirmary for further assessment/treatment.
