Police are investigating after reports that several men were fighting on the streets of Carlisle on Tuesday.
Officers were called to Botchergate at around 6.15pm.
A 34-year-old man and a 42-year-old man, both from Carlisle, were arrested on suspicion of affray. They have since been released on police bail.
No serious injuries have been reported as a result of the incident.
