Five people have been arrested after reports that a man was stabbed in Barrow.
Cumbria police’s firearms officers were sent to the scene, at Wasdale Grove, at around 2.20pm yesterday.
The man was taken by air ambulance to Preston.
His condition is said to be stable.
A police response was immediately launched following the report and five people – four men and one woman – were arrested.
They remain in custody.
