
Four more people have died with coronavirus in Cumbria.
The latest Public Health England figures show that one person died in Barrow, one person in South Lakeland and one person in Copeland.
The University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust – which operates hospitals in south Cumbria and north Lancashire – today announced a death from March 7.
Meanwhile, 21 new cases of coronavirus were recorded in Cumbria today. Cases broken down by area were as follows:
Allerdale – 10
Barrow – 3
Carlisle – 1
Copeland – 3
Eden – 2
South Lakeland – 2
The latest weekly figures, which are for the week ending March 4, accompanied by the rate per 100,000, can be found below:
Allerdale – 51 (52.2 per 100,000)
Barrow – 40 (59.7 per 100,000)
Carlisle – 36 (33.1 per 100,000)
Copeland – 46 (67.5 per 100,000)
Eden – 6 (11.3 per 100,000)
South Lakeland – 25 (23.8 per 100,00)
