A new bar is set to open in Ambleside in May, creating 20 jobs.
High Spirits Leisure Group is currently carrying out a £500,000 revamp of a building in the old mill yard, next to Bridge House, to create Ambleside Tap Yard.
The 160-cover venue will offer craft beers from six 1,000 pint copper tanks from above the bar, and food including pizzas and burgers.
The venue will also offer a separate takeaway, Ice & Slice, which will offer ice cream, wood-fired pizza slices, retro milkshakes and beverages.
The takeaway will have separate outside seating and it is hoped it will open next month.
Ambleside Tap Yard is next to the group’s Flying Fleece venue, which opened in June and is the eighth it operates in the Lake District.
