Firefighters in Barrow were called to two blazes in the space of 10 minutes.
At 11.10pm last night two fire engines attended a fire involving a pan of food on a cooker in a ground floor flat on Longway.
Crews were at the scene for 40 minutes.
At 11.20pm firefighters were called to a fire involving a construction hall on Bridge Approach. Two engines were at the scene for about two hours.
