Emergency services are currently dealing with an incident at Newby Bridge, after reports that two people were stuck in the water.
Police, fire and ambulance crews are currently at the scene, near the A591, after receiving a 999 call at around 3.50pm.
It is understood one of the people has been taken to hospital by ambulance.
