Staff from a leading Cumbrian solicitors have taken on a walking challenge to walk 2,448 miles in 30 days to raise cash for Carlisle Youth Zone.
Workers from Baines Wilson will run and walk the miles – the equivalent of America’s Route 66 – this month.
Sean Logue, head of partnership at Baines Wilson said: “We are proud to have been associated with the Carlisle Youth Zone since the beginning.
“The support their incredible team provides to the young people of Carlisle and its environs is invaluable and has been crucial to so many families during this pandemic.
“Our Route 66 challenge will hopefully raise some additional funds to support their ongoing work in our community.”
So far, they have raised £515 for Carlisle Youth Zone.
Lynsey Buckle, of Carlisle Youth Zone, said: “As we start to look ahead to the aftermath of COVID-19 we are preparing ourselves for a huge spike in the amount of disadvantaged young people who will need our help.
“We’re so grateful to Baines Wilson for choosing to support Carlisle’s young people with this fabulous challenge.”
