A 15-year-old boy suffered face and head injuries after being attacked by a group of males.
Police are investigating the attempted robbery of a bicycle at 5.45pm on May 1 at Holme Head Bay in the Denton Holme area of Carlisle.
It was reported that a 15-year-old Carlisle boy was attacked by a group of two or three males.
He suffered injuries to his face and head.
A 13-year-old boy, from Carlisle, was arrested on suspicion of robbery and later released under investigation.
Police are interested in talking to two unknown females who attempted to prevent the assault – and would encourage them to contact officers.
