The MP for Copeland is bringing together community leaders to hear more about priorities and local plans for their areas.
On Thursday, Trudy Harrison MP will host the inaugural session with parish, borough and county councillors from Millom, Bootle, Whicham, Ulpha and Waberthwaite, as well as education and health professionals from Millom School and Waterloo House Surgery.
Over the coming months, Mrs Harrison will be hosting sessions with communities across Copeland aiming to provide advice and guidance on the development of local community plans.
Trudy said: “I look forward to facilitating parish, borough and county councillors, along with business people, private investors, health and education professionals from Millom and Haverigg, Whicham, Silecroft, Ulpha, Bootle and Waberthwaite to develop community projects.
“We have seen from the vaccine rollout that when the determination of volunteers and community leaders is harnessed, the results can be outstanding – I hope we can continue to make progress.”
