Whitehaven Bus Station

Here is the first look inside the latest venue due to open in Whitehaven soon.

The Peddlar is on the ground floor of the Bus Station and will be led by chef Jon Fell.

The 125-seater cafe-bar is due to open on May 25, and Copeland mayor Mike Starkie has filmed these two videos, giving viewers a behind-the-scenes peek of the venue, plus the second floor hub for start-ups.

The £8.2m transformation of a landmark West Cumbrian building is nearing completion as it is revealed that Barclays will be based at the site.

Whitehaven Bus Station will be the home of the finance giant’s first Eagle Lab in Cumbria.

Sellafield Ltd invested £5.7 million to kickstart the bus station redevelopment with developer BEC.
