Three people have been arrested following an assault in Workington which resulted in a man being taken to hospital.
Police said the incident took place in Rowe Terrace at around 4.30pm yesterday.
A man has been taken to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle for treatment, and the extent of his injuries are unknown.
A man and a woman have been arrested on suspicion of assault and the injured man has been arrested on suspicion of affray.
A police spokesman said: “Officers would like to reassure residents that there is no perceived risk to any further individual.
“Enquiries are underway to establish the full circumstances of this incident.”
