Real Housewives of Cheshire choose Lake District as getaway

The Real Housewives of Cheshire experienced some Lake District hospitality when they stayed at a popular hotel.

The stars of the ITV reality show stayed at Armathwaite Hall Hotel and the episode was broadcast at the end of last month.

The millionaire housewives, who normally jet off to exotic destinations, booked out the entire hotel for their stay.

A spokesman said: “During the episode, the cast were seen to be enjoying themselves throughout the hotel and spa, focusing on a true Lake District experience.

“Simon Steele, the general manager of the hotel, also made his appearance to welcome the cast in the hotel’s lounge area.”

She added that Armathwaite Hall will also be seen in a popular comedy series due to broadcast later this year, but remained tight-lipped about the programme.

It has been a fantastic reopening for the luxury hotel, she added, as the occupancy rate for the May to July period is 93 per cent.

She added: “Many guests are choosing to extend their stays to longer four to seven-night breaks, compared to the pre-pandemic more popular stay of two to three nights.

“With the longer break numbers, the hotel is attracting guests from further afield compared to pre-pandemic.

“From July onwards, numbers are set to continue upwards with the hotel reporting limited availability across the peak summer months.

“Bookings have also been placed for next year, suggesting many travellers are planning ahead for UK staycations as opposed to travel abroad.”

Simon said: “Since our reopening, our occupancy rates have continued to grow exponentially and have surpassed our expectations.

“We’re pleased to be able to reopen with our full offering of activities and even better, a full team of staff especially after such a difficult year for hospitality.

“It’s wonderful to see our guests enjoying our beautiful hotel and extensive outdoor facilities.”

The hotel added that it had recruited extra staff to help it keep up with demand.

  • The Real Housewives of Cheshire at Armathwaite Hall was broadcast on May 31. The episode is available on ITV Hub.
