A fundraising campaign has been launched for the victims of a massive blaze in Carlisle to help rebuild their lives.
On Friday, the huge fire ripped through several homes in Linton Street.
It has destroyed seven homes and caused smoke and structural damage to many more.
Now, the New Linton Holme Inn has launched an online fundraiser to help those affected.
The inn said: “Among those that have been affected are vital key workers who have worked tirelessly during the covid pandemic supporting our local community.
“These include NHS staff and local authority workers.
“These people have helped our community when we needed it most. We feel that it would be great to support these families at their time of need.
“We are trying to raise money to help those affected to rebuild their lives after the devastating unfortunate events.
“All money raised will be shared accordingly to to those affected to rebuild what has been lost.”
The inn has set a target of £1,000.

The fire service was called at around 3.05pm on Friday to Linton Street.
Engines from Carlisle East and Carlisle West stations initially attended and while there, discovered that the fire was spreading along the roof void of a long terrace of homes.
They requested the assistance of engines from Longtown, Brampton, Wigton and Penrith and the service’s aerial ladder platform.
Sixteen firefighters wearing breathing apparatus attacked the fire from below, while the aerial platform ladder was used to create fire breaks above, preventing the fire spreading to other properties.
Homes were evacuated and no injuries were reported.
