A West Cumbrian dance student is to star alongside top models Lily Cole and Lila Moss in a new fashion film.

Abigail Knowles, of Flimby, is one of five dancers from Liverpool Central Studios who appear in the film to launch the latest collection from British designer Richard Quinn, whose vibrant creations have been worn by Amal Clooney, Lady Gaga, Beyoncé and Kendall Jenner.

Together they perform a sequence of ballet, hip-hop, ballroom and contemporary dance, choreographed by Dane Bates from The Greatest Dancer.

The movie will be screened to virtual audiences around the globe, but Abigail and her fellow students were invited to join some of the biggest names in fashion at the premiere this week.

She said: “The whole experience was fantastic. I honestly loved everything about it, from the very first rehearsals in the studio to dancing on set during filming in London. It’s been such an amazing opportunity and so different to anything I’ve done before.”

Liverpool Central Studios specialises in professional training in dance, musical theatre and acting. Accepting only the most talented students, the Ofsted outstanding-rated performing arts school offers BTEC and Trinity diploma courses designed to prepare young people for careers in the performing arts industry.
