Former England international footballer Wayne Rooney has reportedly made a complaint to Greater Manchester Police after pictures of him partying with a group of women from Barrow were shared online.
The national media say that among those Rooney was partying with are Elise Melvin and Brooke Morgan, who Cumbria Crack understands are both from Barrow.
It is understood that Rooney instructed lawyers to file a complaint to Greater Manchester Police after an alleged “set-up”.
The events are believed to have taken place at Chinawhite club in Manchester on Saturday.
There is no suggestion of wrongdoing on the part of Rooney, who is now the manager of Championship side Derby County.
Greater Manchester Police has been contacted for comment.
