
A woman in her 80s was airlifted to hospital after being involved in a collision with a car on the A69 near Brampton.
The incident happened yesterday at about 1.25pm and the woman was walking in the eastbound side of the road, walking away from Carlisle.
She suffered a serious injury and was airlifted to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle, and a statement from Cumbria police said she was in a stable condition today.
The car involved was an Audi.
