A leading Cumbrian law firm has promoted two members of its commercial property team.
Stephanie Bradley and Sophi Al-Tikriti both become associates at Baines Wilson.
Stephanie is a former pupil of Morton and Trinity schools who studied geography at Lancaster University before completing a law conversion course at the University of Law in Manchester.
She joined Baines Wilson as a legal assistant in 2013 and has since qualified as a solicitor.
She said: “I knew at school that I wanted to be a lawyer, that was always the aim, and I was thrilled to be offered a training contact at Baines Wilson.
“When you’re training you do all different types of legal work. As soon as I started on commercial property, everything fell into place and I knew it was for me.”
Sophi, meanwhile, was already specialising in commercial property when she joined Baines Wilson from Manchester law firm JMW in 2018.
The mother of two young children is a former pupil of William Howard School in Brampton who went on to study law at Salford University and the University of Law.
She said: “Working at Baines Wilson gives me the best of both worlds. I wanted to be nearer to the Lakes to have a better work-life balance for my family while still pursuing a legal career with a dynamic and forward-thinking firm.”
Duncan Harty, head of commercial property at Baines Wilson, said the pair were vital members of the team making a significant contribution to the firm.
He said: “It is great to see the ambition of our younger generation to progress their careers.
“We are genuinely invested in the development of our solicitors and we look forward to an exciting future as Baines Wilson continues to grow.”
