A cop with a “nose like a blood hound” sniffed out a cannabis driver after a two-vehicle crash in Workington.
Police were called to the collision on Washington Street last night.
A statement posted on the Cumbria Roads Police Facebook page last night said: “Sadly for this driver, my nose is like a bloodhound and I could smell the cannabis from his car.
“He was desperate for a cigarette and then desperate to get out of our car. He’s now in a cell pending a blood sample.”
