A thriving South Cumbrian insurance agency has strengthened its team still further by appointing a new commercial insurance adviser.
Michael Green has joined NFU Mutual South West Lakes Agency, which has offices in Ulverston and Broughton-in-Furness.
The agency, which has four agents and 11 staff, has around 4,000 policy holders across the South Lakes area.
Michael, 37, grew up at Burton-in-Kendal, where he still lives. He attended Burton Morewood CofE Primary School, Queen Elizabeth School at Kirkby Lonsdale and Kendal College, where he studied travel and tourism.
After working in the banking sector for four years, he joined NFU Mutual Lancaster Agency, where he worked in commercial insurance, before moving to NFU Mutual South West Lakes.
“I have been advising new and existing commercial business customers for more than 12 years,” said Michael.
“I understand that finding a trusted insurance adviser while running a business can be a real challenge, so I use my experience to take the strain off my commercial clients by recommending our award-winning insurance solutions, which are tailored to their specific needs.
“My insurance expertise lies across a huge range of businesses, from manufacturing, construction, wholesaling and the motor trade through to property owners, retail and leisure and hospitality.”
Michael added: “I really enjoy getting to know customers and understanding their businesses and, being based in the area, I am able to service their insurance needs face to face. I love this area. When I go out to see people and I am driving along the shores of Windermere I realise there is no better place to work than here.”
Michael is a family man and enjoys spending quality time with his wife and two children. “As a family we enjoy visiting the Lake District, taking the children on adventures and visiting other countries,” he said.
“I have a passion for music from all genres, in particular house and indie, and enjoy attending festivals and gigs. I occasionally DJ at parties and events. Keeping fit and healthy is important to me and I attend the gym regularly.”
