A Kendal brewery has been shortlisted for prestigious national industry awards – and has only been open for three months.
Lakes Brew Co has been shortlisted in two categories at the National Brewers Journal – Brewers Choice Awards 2021.
It has been shortlisted for its innovative branding and co-founder and head brewer Matt Clarke is in the running to be named Brewer of the Year.
Michelle Gay, co-founder and creative director, said: “We are immensely proud of the brewery and Matt being shortlisted this year.
“We have overcome a great deal and worked really hard, it’s nice to be recognised and included after such a short period of time.”
Lakes Brew Co worked closely with local graphic design company Scratch Creative to create an easily recognisable brand.
Matt said: “It’s such a honour to be up for this award – many amazing brewers and friends have previously won and it would be great to follow in their footsteps.”
