A HGV driver was found with cannabis worth an estimated £630,000 after he was involved in a crash on the A66.
On October 1 Eden Neighbourhood Policing Team attended a collision involving an overturned HGV at Warcop.
Officers charged the driver with possession with intent to supply a class B drug.
Valerijus Petrusevas, of Portadown, Northern Ireland, has pleaded not guilty to the charge and is due to appear at Carlisle Crown Court on November 18.
