
A man was hospitalised after an assault in Whitehaven.
Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault – or anyone who helped the victim – to come forward.
A man, in his 40s, was reportedly assaulted by another man on Queen Street at about 2.20pm on Saturday.
He suffered facial injuries and was treated before being discharged from hospital.
The man described being helped by some people following the incident.
Police believe they might be able to provide police with more information.
A man, in his 20s, was arrested in connection with the incident and released under investigation.
