Keswick Men’s 1sts put in a dominant display to beat Didsbury Northern 2nd’s 2-0 at home.
The only surprise was that the final scoreline was so close as for most of the game the visitors were totally outclassed.
At times the visitors were able to see how Keswick’s structured attack was pulling them to pieces through the middle, freeing up space for the home side to exploit in the final third, but they were unable to do anything about it.
Tom Morgan and Ben Harrison caused a lot of the mayhem – Morgan with his long aerial passes and Harrison with his jinking runs forward.

Probably the biggest surprise was that it took 18 minutes for Keswick to score. Rob Cook shot home from the edge of the D to beat the keeper, who in fairness had pulled off four great saves to deny the home side up to that point.
At the other end, Will Anderson kept his concentration well and was able to pull off a couple of good saves himself on the few occasions Didsbury managed to get past the Keswick defence.
It was really more of the same in the second half with Keswick dominant, but just not able to convert their many chances until the 27th minute when Mark Proctor sealed a 2-0 win.
If Keswick play like this every week it will take a good team to stop them.
