A group of teenagers attempted to take two motorbikes in South Lakes.
Police are investigating the attempted theft of two motorcycles on Kettlewell Road and Garth Bank, Kendal.
The incidents happened between 9.15pm and 9.30pm yesterday.
Police are trying to trace a group of boys, aged between 14 and 16, who were wearing dark clothes.
Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incidents or who can provide CCTV of the areas at the time.
