Police in Cumbria are advising residents that help is out there for people feeling vulnerable due to the impacts of Storm Arwen.
A statement from Cumbria police said: “Following Storm Arwen, if a member of the public finds themselves extremely vulnerable and with a critical need due to having no electricity, please contact Electricity North West (ENW) on 105 or Cumbria police on 101 if urgent.
“Your situation will be assessed and the police will work with key partners to put safeguarding put in place. This could include hotel accommodation through ENW.”
