A number of roads are closed in Cumbria due to trees damaged during Storm Arwen.
The following roads are shut:
West
U7003 West side of Thirlmere (Trees) – United Utilities are dealing with this.
Corney fell from A595 to Duddon Bridge – still closed, Electricity North West working to remove trees.
South
Ratherheath Lane, Kendal – closed due to trees
Underbarrow to Kendal – closed due to trees
Crook Road, Kendal – closed due to trees
Low Fellside, Kendal – closed due to trees
Hawkshead to Lakeside – closed due to trees
Cumbria County Council’s highways teams will again be out tonight dealing with any hazards such as damaged trees and will be treating roads where temperatures are expected to fall below zero, particularly in the east of the county and on high ground.
Drivers are asked to continue to stay alert and drive to the conditions.
