The railway line between Kendal and Burneside is blocked by an obstruction.
Train company Northern said: “Due to a train hitting an obstruction on the line between Kendal and Burneside the line is blocked.
“Services between these stations may be cancelled, delayed by up to 45 minutes or revised.”
