Cumbria interiors studio Nielsen House has achieved its second international design award in just two months.
Following their recent Best Hotel Suite Europe award for their work on the Windermere Gilpin Hotel spa suites, the Staveley-based team is celebrating again after being been named as Best for Bespoke Interior Design, North West England, by global property and construction publisher BUILD.
Judged by five independent experts, the accolade recognises the studio’s excellence within their particular area of expertise across a range of residential and commercial projects and was based on achievements and advancements throughout the year, said the publisher.
Nielsen House founder and lead designer Sarah Jane Nielsen paid tribute to her team of seven for their hard work and commitment in the face of a range of pandemic-related challenges.
She said: “I have been incredibly impressed by the way everyone here has remained so stoic in these unusual times.
“Despite the impact that COVID has had on our industry, they have remained focused, continuing to design and deliver amazing, creative, wow factor interiors for our clients.
“I could not be more proud of the team and I am delighted that Nielsen House has been recognised by not one but two international awards organisers over the past couple of months.”
Alongside projects for private residential clients, Nielsen House also specialises in interiors for the hospitality sector.
Its work on the Gilpin’s latest spa suites project earned them the title of Best Hotel Suite Europe in design et al’s International Hotel and Property Awards.
