Roll up! Roll up! Upfront Puppet Theatre has a Christmas treat for all the family that is not to be missed.
Step into the ring and experience all the thrills of a circus – but in miniature.
Billed as the greatest little show on Earth, Stanelli’s Super Circus is a fully staged show with lighting, scenery, special effects and circus music.
The show is performed with trick circus marionettes and includes a tightrope walker, jugglers, clowns, dancers, circus animals including a lion and tiger jumping through fire and, of course, Zippo the Puppet Cannon Ball.
The full circus in miniature is a unique collection of trick circus marionettes and was saved for the nation by a Heritage Lottery Grant. It is one of the largest and most complete puppet circuses in Europe.
After the show, you can take photographs, meet the puppeteers and puppets and ask questions. Stanelli’s Super Circus is at Upfront Puppet Theatre from December 18 to January 2.
