Shoppers in Workington town centre this weekend were treated to a surprise serenade from a community choir.
The Carnegie Singers orchestrated a flash mob, where members disguised as regular shoppers began singing individually before joining together into their usual choir formation.
People in town at the time enjoyed renditions of No Hopers, No Jokers and Rogues from the film Fishermen’s Friends, and Abba’s I Have A Dream.
Choir members then faded back into the crowd at the end of their set.
The performance was a taster of the Carnegie Singers’ upcoming concert, Saturday Night at the Movies, which takes place at 7pm on July 4 at the town’s Moorclose Theatre.
The choir, with a brass band, string quartet and soloists, will be performing songs from films including Harry Potter, James Bond and Die Hard.
Tickets for the show are available on the Carnegie Singers’ website.
