Police are appealing for witnesses after two men were cut with a blade during a ‘confrontation’ in Carlisle.

It happened at about 6.40pm last night on Fusehill Street and involved a reported confrontation, following which two men were injured with what is suspected to be a blade of some kind.

Neither of their injuries were life-threatening.

Cumbria police is appealing for witnesses to identify a man described as white, with a big nose, sucked-in cheeks, who was 6ft tall.

He was wearing a black Puffer-style jacket and black jogging bottoms.

Officers also want to identify a woman who was described as being short with dark hair.

Both were in the area of One Stop shop on Fusehill Street at about 6.40pm last night.

Anyone with information can report online at www.cumbria.police.uk/reportit , quoting incident 208 of December 15. You can also phone on 101.

Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
