A section of the B6413 near Brampton will be temporarily closed to allow BT Openreach to carry out work this month.
The road at Cumrew will be closed between Meggy Loaning and the Carlatton Mill turn-off on January 14 and is expected to be in place between 7.30am and 4pm.
A diversion will be in operation.
The road was originally expected to be closed from today, January 7, but the work has been postponed.
