Jon Power, of Cumbria LEP

After another challenging year in 2021, businesses are being encouraged to get set for 2022.

Cumbria Local Enterprise Partnership is offering free bespoke advice to Cumbrian businesses.

Firms can benefit from free expert advice, mentoring, masterclasses and events, as well as dedicated support programmes.

Stephen Macaulay, director at YAM Architects Ltd, is one of over 3,000 local businesses that have benefitted from the partnership’s business support.

He said: “In any work scenario, particularly when you are busy, it is difficult to allocate time to critique your business strategically.

“The coaching session was a great opportunity to do this in an environment away from distraction.

“During the session we tested ideas, identified and removed ‘the noise’ and distilled the core issues into a clear and concise action list that I will use to make key decisions that will shape the future of my business.”

Jon Power, head of business programmes at the partnership, said: “We’re here to help you to develop your business, whether you’re looking to grow, become more resilient or are ready to explore new markets.

“Our expert advisers can help you to navigate the variety of support available and ensure that you are connected with the right solution for your business.

“Our aim is to help businesses like yours to innovate, be more creative, resilient and adaptable, and to find new ways of accelerating growth, from increased domestic sales through to exporting goods and services across international boundaries.”
